Albemarle invests millions of dollars annually in research and development. The first Earthwise product is a fire safety solution called GreenArmor™ from Albemarle’s Polymers Solutions division and is due to be commercially available in late 2010. The Earthwise portfolio is expected to grow to include products from other business units and divisions at Albemarle.
Albemarle and the Earthwise family of products believe true green chemistry involves all processes, from design and innovation—minimizing the use of raw materials and energy—to manufacturing and the final stage where commercial by-products are recycled or disposed of.
